When people hear AI hypotheses, they picture a list of generic suggestions. This shows one scan of a product page instead: what Signals looked at, the idea it ranked first, how that idea was scored, what would prove it wrong, and what the scan could not see.

What this is. Signals does not predict a winner or replace experimentation. It turns observable page and behavioural evidence into a ranked, falsifiable test backlog. The store is fictional, so no customer data appears here.

How to read the heat view

Scroll reach. The share of mobile visitors who scroll at least this far: all of them see the top, 66% reach the end of the gallery and 38% reach Add to basket.

Taps. The warmer the spot, the more taps it gets. The strongest is the third gallery thumbnail, the most tapped element on mobile; a second sits on the free sample button.

The fold. The dashed line is the end of the first mobile screen. The price and Add to basket sit about one and a half screens down.

Fogg B=MAP: Ability Sweller: Cognitive Load Fogg's behaviour model holds that an action happens when motivation, ability and a prompt meet; putting the button in view removes the scroll that lowers ability on mobile, and the price beside it answers the first question a visitor has.

6. What could falsify it

Stress test

The adversarial pass argues against this idea. Rigour, not doubt.

Strongest failure mode Flooring is bought on looks. Pushing the gallery down may cut the time visitors spend judging the finish, so add to basket rises while sample orders or returns get worse.

Most likely confounder Much of the mobile traffic may come from paid social with lower purchase intent, which would hold mobile add to basket down whatever the layout.

Alternative hypothesis Mobile visitors are not blocked by scrolling; they order a free sample first and buy later, so the real lever is a clearer path from sample to purchase.

The single discriminating test Run the reordered layout against control on mobile with add to cart as the primary goal and sample orders as a secondary goal; if add to cart rises while sample orders hold, the scroll was the blocker.

Brand risk Showing the price before the product imagery may read as discount led for a premium range.

This argument comes from a second, adversarial pass over the ideas. It is attached when the pass returns one; if that pass cannot complete, the idea still reaches you without it, so a missing argument means missing, not survived. It never changes an idea's score, readiness or rank. Here it names the reading that would sink the idea: visitors who order a free sample first and buy later.
